  • cleaning injectors.

Well its me again(bet yall tired of seeing me) did some more pokin around and low and behold more parts that are not suppost to be on here. turns out the injectors that are on here are from a different 2.8 and they are a smidge shorter then the factory and they have a diffferent type of head.good ole parts car has a full set. but they are a little nasty. is there a way of cleaning them before i install them.

I don't know anyway to clean them without them being installed - you have to have power to get the cleaner to run through them. While you have them off, you really should get new ones - that way you won't have to mess with them again for a long while.

I had dirty/leaking injectors, but needed to drive the car. So I bought a set of used injectors, and sent them here http://www.cruzinperformance.com to be cleaned and tested. Took a week, including shipping time. Swapped 'em out when they got back. He's highly recommended over on thirdgen.org . He also replaces all the seals and the pintile cap.

Check the resistance of the injectors before you send 'em. Should be around 16 ohms. If any of them are under 10 ohms replace that one.
