  • Supercharged? I think not.

Ok, my original power steering pump started leaking and started whining like my car had a blower on it. It eventually became difficult to turn so I replaced the pump and flushed/bled it per Shoebox's instructions. I returned the pump thinking it was defective, but it still makes the same noise it made before. It's pretty quite when the wheels are straight, but very noisy when going around corners or turning the wheel in either direction. The fliud in the resevoir looks good, clear, no bubbles, or foam. Could something be wrong with the rack? Anybody else have this problem before?

I had a leaking line on mine before that I had to replace and it took a lot of bleeding to get all of the air out. I got it to the point where it hardly made any noise at all but when I made a very sharp corner like in a parking lot it still made a little bit of a noise which went away after a little bit of driving. I kept a careful eye on my powersteering fluid and topped it off a few times and now its fine.
