  • I've got a tough job....

    For those that dont know, I'm a highschool teacher. This is what my "enlightened" students built today.

    This is probably as close as I'll ever come to pulling my front wheels:

      I had a front engine Murry about 20 years ago that I put a 8hp Briggs on and it would do that. 0 to 10 mph in .1 seconds. It was a blast.
      2002 Electron Blue Vette, 1SC, FE3/Z51, G92 3.15 gears, 308.9 RWHP 321.7 RWTQ (before any mods), SLP headers, Z06 exhaust, MSD Ignition Wires, AC Delco Iridium Spark Plugs, 160 t-stat, lots of ECM tuning

        My 8 HP rear engine Toro does that. The first time I about crapped a cinderblock. I pulled a wheelstand and rode it for about 10 feet, frantically trying to disengage the blade. My feet slipped off the pedals so I couldn't disengage the clutch either. Does it real easy with the hard shell bagger on the back too. These things need wheelie bars.

          I work at Briggs. I'll tell the engineers in the Engine Application Center that you guys need more low end torque

            Actually, thats a tecumsuh. Im a Briggs fan though.

              Dont quote me on that After looking at the pics again; they might have put a Briggs on it. We've got those 12 horses all over, briggs and tecumsuhs.
