  • Eagle GT tires vs. Dunlops--???

I do plain old street driving. I can get a set of Eagle GTs with alignment, stems, mount, balance etc. for $725, or Dunlops for $625. same warranty, same everything. which would be a better deal?

    Check www.tirerack.com

Assuming around 130/tire plus 50 shipping, mount/balance of 40 dollars and alignment of 50 comes out to around 660. Just a guess, but you can get an awesome tire for $130. Do some price comparisons and see what you come up with there first. Maybe the shop will do price matching.

      follow up on tire quesiton

      SLP has the following--

      Wheel & Tire, Painted 10-Spoke Camaro SS T/O w/Goodyear Eagle F1 (set of 4)

These 10-spoke Camaro SS-style wheels for 1993-2002 F-Bodies come with the factory painted finish. Each 17 X 9" wheel is supplied with a Chevy "Bowtie" center cap. See instructions for backspacing and other information. All tires are 25.66" tall.

Price is 799 plus 120 shipping.

I currently have the stock 16" wheels, and was thinking that if I go with this package (only $200-$300 more than just the 16" tires, I would be better off overall. Thots????
