  • What I need for 11s on Lt1 with No2?

    Hello guys ...

I just got a 1997 camaro with LT1 crashed , im putting everything from the Camaro to a 1986 Ford Mustang , just to have something to run and cheat against other Mustangs..

Anyway , im short on budget what do i need to run 11s , so far i got the complete engine transmission rearend ,ecu ,harness (the compete car) a wet nitrous oxide system and headers , with a complete custom 3inch exhaust system

what should i buy so i can get the car running 11s mid high ...

How much does the Mustang weigh? Is the LT1 engine totally "stock"? How much N2O are you thinking of spraying?

I think the coupe that year weighed right around 3,200. With a full bolt-on LT1 and a 125 shot, you can expect roughly 400 to the tire through the 8.8 rear. With a 3400 raceweight that should get you into the 11's.

You had better replace the upper rear controls arms. I ripped one apart with a lot less horse power than that.

The weigh of the car im not sure , but i did a serious weigh reduction , so if the car was 3200-3400lbs , I know for a fact that more than 300lbs were taken off already plus another 150lbs left ....im Trying to be at the 2800-2900lbs weigh.

The LT1 is basically stock engine ..internally the mods i have done to it are simply bolt ons , like: Aluminum pulleys, NO A/C , Headers,Throttle body spacer,Bored throttle body, 150shot nitrous , ignition wires , spark plugs and a custom ram air intake thats about it ...

If I were to use a street Camshaft witch one will be the best for it? a complete cam kit will be better ...

                thanks
