  • NFM horsepower formula

Anyone know the formula to figure out ur RWHP based on your cars weight and ET i had it but i lost it. I want to see what my truck put down i ran 87.54 my truck weighed in at a fat 4648 lbs. Thanks

This is the most commonly used RWHP from weight and speed formula.

    HP from MPH (1/4 mile) = WEIGHT * (MPH/234)^3

Here is a pretty good site with lots of formulas:

What kind of truck do you have?

Not a bad trap speed at all for a Lightning.

[RANT]Lots of people get confused (not saying you are) and make the mistake of assuming that these formulas can magically figure out how much drivetrain loss a particular vehicle is experiencing and give you crank HP. These formulas always estimate power to the wheels and NOT at the crank. The only thing flywheel HP is good for anyways is bragging rights. It's all about the power you get to the ground.[/RANT]

        What was your ET?
