  • Vibrations at speeds 75-110 mph

Hey all, I've noticed after I got my 4.10's put in that the car seems to shake quite a bit only at speeds greater than 75 mph...

    a) Curious if this normal for these gears,

    b) Maybe I need an LS1 driveshaft .... I've heard of vibrations coming from the LT1 driveshafts, even a TSB on em...

    c) Maybe I just need new tires & balance (I do need new tires, I think I have the original 97 tires on here! lol (remember only 24,XXX miles)).

Any clues? I know this has been addressed somewhat before, but no one has ever mentioned it after getting gears installed....

It's probably the driveshaft vibration just coming out because of the gears. Get an aluminum driveshaft. But for goodness sakes, replace those tires!!!!!! They are almost 10 years old now. Even if they're not causing the vibration (very well could be) rubber only lasts so long before it starts to break down. Wolfman can tell you all the dangers you face on 10 year old tires. Replace those suckers!!!
