  • Cost for replacing parts that got wet

    How much do you think it will cost to replace all of the following:
    Alterenator - Got wet from the water pump dieing starting to make a clicking noise. Needs replaced i guess ?
    Opti-spark - probably got wet from the water pump blowing up since its right there correct? is opti-spark the distributor in this car ?
    Wires & Plugs - 102,000 might as well
    Cap & Rotor - Of distributor ? mechanic told me to change that to?


    and how many man hours should this take via me and my uncle hes very car smart restoring our 69 camaro and services all his tractor trailers

    1997 Camaro Z28 Pacesetter Long tubes, ORY-Pipe, Accel 30# Injectors, MSD Cap & Rotor, MSD Super Conductor Wires, NGK Irdium TR55IV Plugs, and Borla Catback. Madtuner Tune, SLP High/Low fan switch, NGK o2 sensors

    New Longblock at 110,947 and everything above.

    A Vented Opti is roughly $200 from a discount GM vender, that's a complete plug and play distributer that includes the cap and rotor.
    You will want to replace the oil seals in the front cover as well, those are about $25
    Plug wires are roughly $85.
    Plugs are various prices with an average of $50
    An alternator is roughly $180
