CA smog test trials and tribulations

Well need to get the Bird smogged, and have to go to a TEST only shop (means extra $$).Took her to the only shop I trust in town ...well the first trial the smog nazis have declared that we now have to put all vehicles on the rollers (resistance rollers. The shop I went to has only above floor dynos. The bird is to low to go up the ramps..so now what?? Turns out that there only two in floor dynos in town one at a shop that really has a horrible reputation and the other at the Smog Referee at our junior college by appt only..I decided to call, the appoinment was this afternoon. What a great place to do buisness the test lasted only about 15 min they only tested at 15 and 25 mph on the rollers The referee and the students were great took great care of the bird. They couldnt get over how clean the Bird was ...I will be taking all my vehicles here from know on OH yeah and they only charged $38.95

Wow, I paid around $70 for my "test only" smog. Very good deal for your $38.95. Do you have the #s?

reminds me. i have to get the Mark VIII smogged in Jan. and the Firebird smogged in March :yuck:
