  • Best tire for $$

What do you guys think would be the best tires for the money. Looking at the 100-140$ range pretty much (prefferably closer to 100 ) I dont really care about wet traction either. Pretty much just a strait line tire. And no I dont want steet radials or drag radials. Any input appreciated.

you realize, that you can do all the mods in the world, but without good tires, it dont mean chicken squat...... tires are what makes your car perform....tires are the last link in the performance arena... they are what transmit the power and the handling to the pavement, and they are what allows your car to benfit from the performance suspension and all the rest....

that having been said, cooper cobras if you dont want to fork out big bucks.

I have the Kumho ECSTA Supra 712's and know alot of other fbody owners that have the same. They're $109 for the 275/40/17's. I used to have the Firehawks and its ashame they don't make them anymore. I've also had the CompT/As and didnt like them at all.

BF Goodrich does not make the Comp T/A's anymore.......they haven't in a few years....... that was the O.E. tire on the 1995-1997 SLP Comp T/A (named after the tire.........)...we never had that problem with them. If you have Comp T/A's it could be they are old the shore A (rubber hardness) has gone way up on them....

The G-Force KDW is the replacement tire for the old Comp T/A

I did a LOT of research lately and opted for the Cooper Zeon 2XS for my Camaro SS. Best bang for the buck.

have you looked at the Bf Goodrich KDWS tires? they are alittle cheaper than the KDW tires but still offer good traction in dry and wet conditions

I just got the Firehawk Wide Ovals and they are great IMHO. Cheaper than the KDW, better traction wet and dry and supposed to last longer. Feel free to take a peek.
