  • What is this unused connector?

I took my console apart on my 97 WS6 to try and find the source of a rattle. The main cigarette lighter harness connector also had a black unused connector that branched off just prior to the lighter plug harness connector.... is this one used for traction control? (which mine doesn't have) I can't think of anything else that this connector would be used for.

COuld it be a spare accessory plug? I know some years of Camaros had a spare accessory plug hidden in the console.

Does it have power? Have you tested it?

Check Shoebox's Tech Pages. He has a photo and info on a "hidden" accesory power source in that location - Z28 only.
