Alright, I'm buying new tires for the Z in the next couple days and need some opinions. I've had these KDW tires for near 30k and they've done quite well against me, esp. with the spinout a few months ago. I need a tire that gives great dry AND wet traction, handling, braking, etc. and has a good treadlife. I've boiled my choices down to the KDW and the Wide Oval. Any opinions? Mind you, cost is a factor and the WO's are $27 cheaper/tire, so they have that going for them plus the eval. I saw on TireRack vs. the KDW. Thanks guys.

Well, got 'em on. Ran me $816 and some change out the door at the local Firestone shop. Now, before everyone starts chiming in how expensive that is, let me fill you in on what I got...
4 Firehawk Wide Ovals in 245/50/16 @ $120/tire (normally $135, but they price-matched TireRack )
Mount
Balance
Installation
Lifetime front-end alignment (lifetime alignment, tire rotation...for free)
Road Hazard ($20/tire, $20/tire for replacement if it cannot be fixed)
Disposal fee, valve stems, etc.
Now for the feeling...GREAT!! I put the handling aspect to the test when I came home. Usually the g-Force's let you know you're pushing it around 35...these grabbed up throw 40+ and still didn't let go. Quiet, sticky...very good tire, esp. for the price. Definitely a good buySteve

I'm glad your happy with them! You never really know till you're at the wheel. I also went with the lifetime alignment. Got it for both my cars actually. There's no limit...take it in for an alignment every 3 months if you like!Joe K.
