    "Cam is setup for short dowel pin Optispark."

    can someone explain these 2 centences
    looking for LT1 cam.

    The 95-97 vented Opti is driven by the cam dowel pin. The pin needs to be about 0.62" long. If it is longer than 0.68", it can damage the Opti by putting pressure on the drive mechanism/bearing. 93-94 unvented Optis can use a shorter dowel, because it does not drive the Opti.

    Old style Gen 1 engines used a mechanical fuel pump, bolted to the side of the engine, and driven off a lobe on the camshaft. Modern, electric fuel pump engines do not need a fuel pump lobe on the cam, hence an LT1 doesn't need one, and an LT1 cam can not by used in an older engine that needs a fuel pump lobe.
