  • Software For Reading Codes laptop / Sensors in Tranny ?

    What software should i get to read codes on my 1997 Camaro Z28 and where should i buy it from ?


    Also, while im posting are there any sensors in the Automatic Transmission on my car ? it seems to be leaking some tranny fluid D: no good since i just finished replaceing water pump and opti.

    Alterenator is soon to be done to
    1997 Camaro Z28 Pacesetter Long tubes, ORY-Pipe, Accel 30# Injectors, MSD Cap & Rotor, MSD Super Conductor Wires, NGK Irdium TR55IV Plugs, and Borla Catback. Madtuner Tune, SLP High/Low fan switch, NGK o2 sensors

    New Longblock at 110,947 and everything above.

      There's some other info in this writeup..... some of the links are out of date, but AtuoTap and Virtual Dashboard are proven performers.

          You have (2) shift Solenoids 1-2 and 3-4, (1) Electronic Pressure Control, (1) Torque Converter Control (PWM Lock-up), (1) 3-2 Down Shift and a Manifold Pressure Switch. All of these are bolted and cliped in you Valve Body, in addition you have an Output Speed Sensor in the Tail Housing and your Nutral Safty Switch.
          I use a Snap-On Scaner ($3500.00) and it will read averything and anything in your Engine too.

            I would look for leaks by the pan gasket, the front seal and the rear seal first.
