    That's not it Ed. That is a hypoid chain and on the LT4 Extreme Duty set, the camshaft sprocket is solid like this.

    BTW the LT4 Extreme Duty Timing Set is part# 12370835.

      best place to get the LT4 Extreme Duty Timing Set ?
      how much does it run? absolutly necesary if installing the hot cam kit?

        I don't think many people opt for the Extreme Duty timing set when they install the LT4 HOT cam. GM didn't even include the ED set with the LT1->LT4 heads/HOT cam conversion package.

            I would agree with Fred and say that the LT4 ED Timing Set is overpriced and overkill for most performance applications. I talk with several stealership parts guys fairly often, and they all tell me they cannot give away the LT4 ED Sets they have had on the shelves for years.

            Have you considered going to an electric WP and going with something like a Cloyes double roller? Comp cams makes a OEM-like replacement timing set and/or chain by itself that is reasonably priced.
