  • Where to find used blocks

Im looking to find a used 350 shortblock that is need of a rebuild so that I can learn how to put one together, I don't have any idea where to look for one though, does anyone ahve any ideas other than various for sale/trade forums in places like this adn thirdgen.org

Hopefully this will become a really fun project, I want to find a cheap block (proabably iron) and rebuild it then transplant into a car and restore the car. Anyone have any ideas?

Jeff95TA: I would love to have an LT1 short block, how much are you looking to get for it? pittsburgh is maybe like 4 hours or something away but I will be out near harrisburg which I think is only another couple hours from there for school. i go back in january and will be there for a while, perhaps we can arrange to meet or something. Ill send you a PM or an e-mail and we can talk more.

And Norm ill have to check around the area to see what the different machine shops have.
