Maybe you yankee and Floridian crackers have a bunch of old fogies driving around bone stock LS1's.

A bone stock LS1 or even LT1 is a rarity in TX. I guess that's why they say our state will kick your state's (_|_)!

No joke... dead serious... my first time ever down a drag strip I turned in a 13.5 @ 108 - bone stock.

My RT was like 2.3 seconds, lol...

You will definitely run with one until about 50 or so with your mods - maybe better. I have drag raced a friend of mine a couple of times - he has a stock 93 Trans Am. I am always amazed at how well he stays with me until about 35. His is a 6 speed - your converter will definitely help especially if the other driver is in a manual and is not a good driver.

I had my butt handed to me at the track a couple of times by cars with much less power than mine but with high stall converters.

Trust me, it wasnt the first time down the track. Ive hit a couple 14's the few first times! I think my 60ft were low 2's. Ive never had better than a 2.0 I think.

Jays 108mph is really fast for the time. Those ls1's open up down the track like crazy!

Yeah I am concentrating more on the trap speed than the ET because I am not launching it hard - don't want to blow up the rear end. End of last year I got it to 116 or 117 - I will have to look for the time slip. I only ran a 12.80 though.
