  • My new LS1

I bought this a month ago...i just haven't taken any pictures until now.

Its a 2001 WS6 46k and has everything but traction control. As some of you guys might remember, I sold my 97 T/A over a year ago before I left for Iraq hoping i could get a LS1 for a little more money.

I sold my 97 with 68k for 9200...then i bought this 2001 WS6 for $8,000. Yes...$8,000...however..the catch is this....salvage title. It was on its top but there was no frame damage expect the roof. You cant even tell it was wrecked. The interior is mint also. Not a single flaw.

that is beautiful. Glad to see you're back in the F-body game. How do you like the LS1 over the LT1? Manual or auto?

Its a 6-spd and I love the LS1! It seems to be smoother and pull very strong all the way where as the LT1 seemed to left off. It sounds a little different than my LT1, the LT1 sounded more like an old muscle car, the LS1 seems to have its own sound to it. More of a burbling sound I guess.

I love the car and I got very lucky with the price and the way the car turned out.

The bad side is the gas milage. My LT1 got about 19-21 Mpg in the city and 29 -31 on the highway depending on the weather conditions. This LS1 gets 14mpg in city and 24 on the highway. I am looking in to the cause by my OBDII scanning program (digimoto) isn't working.... like always.

Your gas mileage cannot be right unless you can't keep your right foot out of the throttle! I get better than that and I am not stock. Congrats on the new ride!
