And with some tweaks, another 40 horses and still fairly low weight. This should make for a fun little commuter.

Went to one of those GM Autoshow in Motion, I didn't get into one, but my friend who is about 6 feet tall said the Solstice was too cramped. Otherwise, I'm liking it stylewise for it's simplicity over the Sky (which they had there, but not for test driving.)

Oh yeah... hello there, I'm new.

That is a LS2 swap. It is 18k just for the complete Mallet conversion.

GM is technically rating the turbo versions at 253 HP, but I'm sure like everything else GM makes, it will be underrated.

I hope they make a the Redline in a coupe with a t-top or Targa type top.

                        From Autoweek...

                        AutoWeek | Published 12/28/05, 11:12 am et
The much-anticipated, high-performance variant of the Pontiac Solstice roadster will be unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show, packing turbo power as we predicted six months ago (News, July 11, 2005).

A 2.0-liter, turbocharged direct-injected four-cylinder making 260 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque will power the Solstice GXP. Look for the boosted Pontiac in showrooms this summer as a 2007 model—at a $4,000 to $5,000 premium over the naturally aspirated Solstice.

I actually just saw one driving around here about an hour ago so I guess they are available, looked like it wasnt a test drive or anything like that, just go to gm.com and you can probably find the prices there. Neat little car, I'd love to see how it does with that big V8 in it though!

With the LS2 it does 0-60 in 4.4 and the quater mile in 12.8 @113. The base conversion has LS2 with LS2 clutch flywheel and such, modified shocks, different springs, new control arm bushings, corsa exhaust, mallet body graphics, mallet embroiderd on the seats, mallet serial number plaque, and a 2 year 24k mile warranty. The car can also be optioned with a super charger and other goodies.
