When I try to accelerate when i'm below 2000 rpms my car is missing and cutting out horribly. If i'm on it hard and keeping it in the revs it won't cut out but hitting the gas any at low rpms will make it cut out. I got a SES light for a little while but it went away. Is this a tell tale sign of a bad opti or possibly something else. I have 93,000 miles could it be plugs or wires?

Could very well be the opti.
An X buddy of mine had a 93 that did the exact same thing like yours, and it turned out to be the opti. I think the 94's werent vented yet and as a cause resulted in poor reliability, not that Optis are reliable to begin with. But I would assume that the opti is whats causing the cuting out at the lower RPMs on account of me having witnessed the same problem on another car. Spark plugs and wires are probably the first way to go, but those will easily outlast the opti.1996 Arctic White Z28, A4, K&N CAI, TByrne MAF ends, BBK Twin-52mm TB, TB Bypass, SLP 1 3/4" Shorties, Richmond 3.42's, Dynomax Bullet Muffler W/Turn Down, BMR Adj. Re: Could very well be the opti.
95's were vented. 94's were sealed like 93.
If the seal would hold up, they'd be bullet proof.
I upgraded my 94 to a vented one at 55K
(well I changed cams/heads, etc..)..

I'm thinking opti to. This is my daily driver and I won't be able to get to it for a week so will it hurt anything to run like this. I'll get it scanned first to make sure but its looking like it is. Any suggestions as to where to pick one up for cheaper than a dealer sells them, can they be rebuilt, and do you know any links that have instructions on how to replace?1994 Firebird Formula, M6, Fan switch, 160 thermostat, Pacesetter LT headers, Morosso CAI, TB bypass, True duals.

That old buddy of mine that I told you about ran his like that for over 6 months with no incident, it just kept cuting out. He even had a name for it, he would call it "Cut-out Mode."1996 Arctic White Z28, A4, K&N CAI, TByrne MAF ends, BBK Twin-52mm TB, TB Bypass, SLP 1 3/4" Shorties, Richmond 3.42's, Dynomax Bullet Muffler W/Turn Down, BMR Adj. Its begging to make me wonder cause it barely did it today on my drive home from football practice. Its almost making me think bad gas or something else i'm gonna run to the store and get a can of dry gas and try that (alot cheaper than a new opti). If it is my opti where do you reccomend picking one up at? and what price am i looking at?1994 Firebird Formula, M6, Fan switch, 160 thermostat, Pacesetter LT headers, Morosso CAI, TB bypass, True duals.
