  • what size shot on a bbc

My friends motor is a 472, a lunati flat tapppet 540-550 cam, forged crank, kb 10.25 pistons, resized rods, 781 heads, dual 500 cfm edelbrock carbs, aluminum edelbrock intake, arp bolts throughout, hooker super comp headers and he's wondering what is a good size shot of nitrous to use safely.

A good starting point for the upper limit is to spray no more than 50% of the engine's NA power capability..... e.g. if the engine makes 500HP on motor, spray a 250-shot. Tune carefully from there on up if you want to spray more.
