Wow, beautiful Tracy! I love detailing the engine compartment too. It's really amazing how a dirty motor can look brand new! Awesome work

          Thanks guys!

And believe me when I say it runs, sounds and drives as good as that engine compartment looks.

Nobody that sees it believes me when I tell them how many miles it has on it.
I'm pretty proud of my brother and I for all the attention to detail we have put into it.

Adam (my bro) began cleaning the rust and paint off the drivers side rear fender lip around the tire. It's looking pretty easy to fix. There are actually two small rust holes, but they look like they will both fill in easily. Maaco quoted me $200 to paint that edge and blend it into the rest of the quarter using good base coat / clear coat paint.

              I posted some instructions here:
              http://www.f-body.com/forum/showthre...t=15027&page=4

The devil is in the details. get a wire wheel in a bench grinder and a few different size wheels for your hand drill. Get some black high-temp paint. Start taking smaller items apart and cleaning them up with the wheel. Items like grounding loops / posts, the +bat block, any corroded fasteners. If something needs to be cleaned up and repainted dont be afraid to do it. wire wheel it until it looks clean and hit it with the black paint. Drop a little oil on anything you leave bare metal, that will help it stay fresh longer.

I removed the throttle body and wire-wheeled it to a shine. I also wire wheeled the top of the alternator and plenum in addition to many many small parts like nuts, bolts, electrical ground connectors, etc..
