13 second v6 right around the corner (crosses fingers)

I've just ordered a cam (218/218 .528"/.528" @ .050 112 LSA 108 IC) with stronger valvesprings, retainers, lifters and pushrods along with (of course) a gasket set for the swap. I'm going to have to stick with a mail order tune for now (free re-tune) until I get more money and find a local dyno that has hptuners for the v6. I also manged to grab a pair of wheels with drag radials nice and cheap. There is only one other person that I know of running this cam and he's got everything I have (or am going to have) minus a tune (he has no tune whatsoever and still has 5800 rev limiter. he usues a speedo recalibrator for his gears) and he has 3.73s instead of 4.10s like myself. He runs pretty consistant 13s (usually 13.6-13.8). I'm hoping that with a tune that I can beat him.

Really? Go look at an GN...its a 3.8 as well

As a suggestion 99v6cam, when you have your new cam in, do a dyno as well. Not only to see the numbers, but this will also give your tuner more info. to build your new tune with. Just a thought

I haven't personally seen a 13sec v6 camaro, but I have seen a 13 second v6 mustang, the kid was cramming nitrous into it, I wonder how long it will last.....lol. Anyways, your car sounds pretty cool and I hope to hear what it is capable of.

I don't know if this interests you or helps you at all, but the guys at STS told me one of their remote mounted turbos would fit a V6 with minor fabrication.

You know how I feel about torque and gearing vs. rpm range. What should be interesting is if you both have identical mods except for gears. I think there should be a 4 run comparison with the best of three end result times averaged. That would tell much.
