hubcap probs

I got a set of hubcaps for 1982-92 trans am rims off of ebay, but they dont fit!!! i compared they to a hubcap i already had, which fit, and they were different. similar shape but the newer one was less than half the height of the other!

I wouldn't wait,
If they were spec'ed to fit your rims and your rims aren't aftermarket then contact the seller about it. If nothing comes from that then quickly contact ebay also.

If you end up stuck with them put negative feedback for him too. But do this after you contact the seller he may be good about it.

not to sound mean or anything but its not the sellers problems, they are for firebird 82-92 just not those style rims.

not to sound rude but they're not GTA style they started coming out a year before the GTA.

also, it is partly the vendor's fault if he fails to specify rim size, it falls under the catagory of fully disclosure. also the mailing list from the vendor also says that it is for "1980's" trans am hubcaps, not even half of the rims available in those years were 16. MOST OF ALL... the below picture is the hubcap of a 16 inch rim...compare it to the hubcap above. they r the same! in fact interchangeable!



the truth is the emblem on the resently bought caps seem much newer than the caps themselves, the design of the caps r entirely different from those proven to be originals, and the hubcaps were sold to me at a lower price than any other sale of hubcaps BY THE SAME VENDOR!!! there is much to say that the hubcaps, which r genericly sold for numerous other models of cars (as seen in the below picture), were abtained, quite possibly from a junkyard for almost nothing, and the emblems were installed to create imitation trans am hubcaps, when the vendor realized this he marked them down.

not to seem aggressive or rude, but there is little to defend the vendor.

it says 85 or newer however my rims are the optional 85-90 firebird rims.

The mystery continues! i found a picture of the same kind of center cap and its original box, but gm doesnt recognize the part number!?!

This will be the last post. the mystery is over! they are center caps for turbo fin wheels. of wut i've been told, these wheels were produced in 82-84. so my cars original wheels would have fit them but the optional 85 firebird wheels that i own now do not.
