Anything besides the waterpump?

OK I am still here in the middle east. My bird in in FL with my family. My wife called and said that it was overheating and losing coolant. She was smart enough to shut it down and drive it home after it cooled down. The neighbor, who know how to turn a wrench (though not on F bodys) says it is the water pump hat is leaking. Can the water pump leak a gallon of coolant in a day?

Only 53K miles on the bird. I am thinking a hose. How should I proceed?

I would not be suprised if the water pump broke and lost a gallon in a day.


but if they overlooked it could possibly be a hose.

i recall when mine leaked on my lt1 that it leaked a consant flow.
