just wandering, I have a 1998 trans am and i already have the full borla catback. I wanted to know what else to do to my exhaust..like the best headers. I want loud and deep sound with horsepower gains. And also what should i do after the headers out to the borla? People just give me ideas please! Also anyone with a ram air hood I am looking for one. Willing to trade my painted black raptor hood for a 98-02. thanks f'ERS! haha

Whatever you do, only go with Long Tube Headers, anything else is a waste. Long tubes are the best bet for our cars. And while you are down, might as well switch out the y-pipe with a 3 inch piece. Just dont forget about emissions depending upon where you live. Good luck.

I have a Mecham TA 4 port heat extractor Ram Air hood. Also painted black, heres a pic. Its not a WS6 ram air hood, but it is a true ram air hood. If you are interested post a pic of yours and lets see if we can work something out.

There's an excellent book out by Christopher Endres that shows all the mod's for the LS1 engines, from "free mods" through "bolt-ons" through "major power adders." Has good info on the various heads available, actual dyno numbers for many mods, some impressive numbers for large bore strokers, etc.

I think the title is something like "Chevy LS1/LS6 Performance" (I've got it at home, but I'm posting from work). Go online at Amazon or B&N and search for it by the author's name.
