brake lights problem!

Here's the problem:
-The brake lights works fine when the
lights are off.
-When the lights are on the brake lights do not
come on.
-The third brake light works fine.
-I checked the fuses, all are ok.


Any suggestions would be helpful,

Bulbs maybe? I had a similar problem, and turned out to be a multi-funtion switch that sits in the steering columm. Try Tilting the steering wheel up and down a couple of times and then check to see if the problem went away.
