  • Clicking noise, when key is in the off pos.

If i sit in my car(after its turned off) after about 5mins it makes a clicking noise? I have never heard anything like it before? It sounds like it is coming from below the dash. If i turn the key to Aux. or open the door it stops.

it hasnt cuased any problems, just wonderd if any other f-body gurus had heard of this mysterious clicking?

    1995 T/A Stock thanks jordan

The clicking noise is the power door lock timmer. If you open the door and close it after a few minutes the internal power door lock switch is disabled.
If you think about it, it would be soooo easy for some one to break in if the power door lock where active all the time! (slip in a coat hanger or what ever)

Also there is a delayed accessory timer for the radio. If you turn the car off the radio will still play after about 5 minutes or so.

It is likely the BCM (Body Control Module). They were put in late 95's and later.

My power locks and mirror lights have not worked for some time, and I hear the click sound form the right underside of the dash about every 15-20 seconds while the car is running. Sounds similar to what is being described. How do I fix?

Shoebox has the location of the LT1 model RAP module, and probably the part # on his website. You would have to verify the same location and part # on your LS1.
