Ok i just bought a 96Z with the Lt1/T56 for 1,800 bucks
I was told that it had a blown head gasket. I work at the local ford dealership here in town.. i ran and drove the car and it seemed fine.. i took the thing in on my lunch break and block tested it and it was fine, the system holds 18 psi and doesent leak.. so i checked the rad cap and it was bad, after replacing the cap i decided to flush the cooling system, so i flushed it and let the car warm up to norm operationg temp, opened the bleeder till i had solid water coming out and closed it off. and caped the cap. i checked it after running a full heat cycle and it is still full. I have a low coolant light on the dash still. the motor is not rising above 210. I am not sure if i have a problem with a traped air pocket or a sensor or what? im sure somebody else has ran into this problem before. Please let me know
This vehicle is DEAD STOCK. If anybody has any parts to fix er up please let me know. thanks
