hi guys my names ryan and i have a 2000 ws6 ram air trans am... my modifications are 3" flow master exaust(super 40's with high flow cats), SLP lid w/ k&n filter and smooth bellows inlet tube, and a stage 2 gorillachipz performance chip... like most of you ive been bitten by the f-body bug and crave more power... but this is my problem... moneys not really a concern but the car is an everyday driver so it needs to be reliable and gas prices seem to be becoming a problem again... if anyone has any specs or comments on beefier mods that wont completly distroy me at the pump please comment.. Thank you!!!!

Ryan, Fred and I aren't meaning to make fun, but it is just a little awkward when new members post questionable mods. Maybe you were truly unaware, but the LS1's have what is called a PCM. The only way to "alter" the programming stored within that PCM is by means of software such as HP Tuners or EFI Live connected via the ALDL (aka DLC) connector under the dash.

It simply connects directly to your intake sensor, and suddenly your car has Up to 60 Extra horsepower!

Item works perfect! Added 10mph in 1/4 mile. Highly recomend, fast ship!!!!!

Yea, thats a new one to me. Sorry man. Atleast it was only $20. Ive seen chips, the 'tornado', all kinds of crap, especailly on ebay ... and im sure people have spent more.

I guess I came across as kind of mean, and I apologize for that. But it kinda ticks me off when I see all the scams they run on eBay, and I feel sorry for the people that fall for them.

On a more positive note, its easy to add HP to you LS1. One of the best collections of performance information is the Chris Endres book:

Only caution on that book is its now at least 3 years old, so some of the info may not be up to date.

Thats completly understandable friends and i thank you for all your input... haha i am only 17 so once i see hp i jump all over it but i figured what the heck its only 20 bucks haha... ill check that book out thanks!!!! .... happy import and pony stomping!!! thanks again!!!!
