  • NFB Dissapointing SSR performance

I just watched the Motorweek review of the Chevy SSR and I must say that I am very dissapointed with some of the performance numbers it put out. The fastest 0-60 time was 7.9 secs. It did the 1320 in 16.0@87mph. This seems pretty pathetic for a roadster/truck that costs $42,000. Jeez its as if Chevy made it's own version of the Prowler. All show and no go. Very weak if you ask me. The thing's pretty heavy too at 4700lbs. I guess that's why, even though it has 300hp and 331lbs tq, it posses such lack luster straight line performance. The '90 240sx I used to own would have given that thing a run for it's money and it only had 145-150hp. And to think some people said the SSr would replaceme the F-Bod .....Oh well just my thoughts on the subject.......Later

I agree with you there. If it weighed 3300 lbs with that motor, performance would be better.
