Does a disconnected IAT sensor throw a SES light? Just curious, cause I've done the IAT relocation, but I had to splice the wires and move the sensor. I've had it like this for years and never had a SES light caused by this. Thanks.

If the light is on go to autozone or someplace that does free scanning, then find out what the code is, no sense guessing about it especially if nothing is seriously wrong. There are a number of reasons it could be on. Get it scanned then bring us the code.-Dan

Thanks Joe. The SES light is not on, I guess I should've said that in my first post. I just wanted to know if a disconnected IAT sensor throws an SES light since with OBD-II, just about anything can set it off (even a loose gas cap). I guess I did a good job splicing the wires since they haven't come loose yet (I twisted the wires together and soldered them).Comment

when the IAT sensor was disconnected on my car, ses light came on and both fans (93 speed density t/a)93 t/a A4 3.23s
