Just wondering if anyone knows if 17x8.5 fronts and 18x9.5 rears off a 2000 C5 vette will fit an otherwise stock 98 Z? Thanx, Tom

I have a wheel dimension table from VETTE magazine. They show the 2000 C5 factory wheels as:
18x9.5" 65mm offset (calculates to 7.77" backspace)
17x8.5" 58mm offset (calculates to 7.00" backspace)
If they are aftermarket "repro" wheels, they may have different offsets.
With those offsets, they will "fit", but may look like they are set a bit deep in the wheel wells. The outside edge of the tire on the front wheels will be about 1/8" farther out than your stock 16x8 55mm offset weels. The outside edge of the tire on the rear wheels will stick out about 1/3" farther than your stock wheels.
Generally, with a 9.5" wheel width, you want to have an offset in the range of 45-56mm. No big problem with the offsets of the C5 wheels.... just need to be aware that most of the added width will be on the back of the wheels.Fred
