  • Which autometer gauge to get?

Ok, I had an A-Pillar dual gauge pod on my Conquest. I took it off when I bought a new Quest, and I'm too lazy to put it back on. I had a boost and a/f gauge in, both autometer sport comps. Well, I relocated the Boost gauge into the stock location on the Conquest, so I have the A/F and an autometer SC Water temp gauge.

I was thinking about getting a pod for the Camaro.

I haven't looked under the dash of the Camaro. How tough is it to run wires under the hood? I've never done it. On the Conquest I had a nice fat wire loom hole already there, so I ran all my wires through there.

I'll need to run three wires for the AF and 2 for the Water temp, plus run wires for the lights.

I don't know if I want to drill a hole in my firewall. Is that what I have to do?

You can run the wires through on the passenger side firewall where all of the wires fun in from the computer.

Lights and power supply to the guages can be done from under the dash, not through the firewall. O2 guage requires a single wire from the O2 sensor you select - or run one wire from each and use a single-pole/double-throw switch to select which one displays.

The big rubber grommet behind the PCM is a popular spot, per the post above. Or you can drill a small hole from inside the car, below the clutch pedal, coming out behind the brake booster. I have wires and braided hose run through both locations.
