  • NOS question for all you real race enthusiasts!

Alright so i put a new motor in my car, a decent running 350, and the car has previously had nitrous installed on it when my dad had the car. Well, no i'm its driver and would like to put the nitrous back on. The selonoids and hoses are already there and i just need to install the carb plate. Is there anything i need to test or check so i don't go and use this and cause detonation and eventually destruction to the motor? The kit is a 175hp kit by the way. Your responses would be great. Its a holley 830cfm carberutor also. Thanx.

You didn't mentrion anything about a external fuel source for the n2o, so I'm assuming it's a dry setup. How much does the motor make at the crank N/A? Are there already window pills and/or a rev limiter that cuts spark and not fuel installed? Are you using a non-capacitive (inductive) discharge ignition?

The NOS setup injects fuel also. the motor should make around 400 horsepower at the crank. Its and msd-6 ignition that has a current revlimiter in it at 8000 rpm. but with this new motor i will put a something like 7000 rpm.
