  • how much travel does the clutc fork have?

I put a 1997 TA t56 in my 88 formula, I used new gm hyd. I used the "stock " 88 clutch pedal assembly, centerforce flywheel made just for a 2pc rear main block, and a sbc 400 balancing plate. I am only getting between 1 to 1/2" fork travel max before it hits the pressure plate. the balance plate is only .070" thick so I doubt that has anything to do with it. I even asked a machine shop and they agreed. BTW it is a new stock replacent clutch.

if I take the spacer plate off the bellhousing the fork will sit just about even with the bell housing (just a hair inside) I was told that this maybe normal and this other guy made his master cyl. rod adjustable but, I don't see any one else having this problem.

I guess I just need to know how much travel your forks have and if they sit about even with the bell housing

ok, never mind I figured I would shave off some mental from the bottom of the clutch fork tree and it brought the fork just a hair out side the bellhousing and now the pedal works fine
