I used 3/4" ARP bolts last spring and have had not problems thus far. I would have gone for 1" if I could have found the right part # for ARPs, but these seem to be working just fine.

1" stainless steel all the way. I went with the ARP cause they have 5/16" heads which makes wrench or socket clearance top knotch.

Definately get back to us on how it sounds and how the install went. i'm looking at putting the same headers on my car or maybe pacesetter longtubes. Are you going with an off-road y-pipe or not?

I have the Pacesetter longtubes and the flange is pretty thick. I used 3/4" bolts and they seem to be holding fine but I would recommend 1" due to the thick flanges. Right now I have the Pacesetter ORY and it sounds pretty sweet. But I'm putting dual 3" cats in shortly to stay close to legal. You can just smell that the exhaust is not legal and the high flow cats don't rob much power if any at all.

                    Be advised:
You will find yourself expanding your "potty mouth" vocabulary quite a bit in the process of installing the retainers and e-clips on those stage eights. But at least you headers wont come loose.

I have to admit that the clips are the biggest PITA of the whole install. It really helps if you have little hands and use the end of a small socket to push the clips into place.

I also like the idea of a greater amount of the fastener inserted into the head, so 1" are my choice.

Like everyone else, I used 1". I didn't use arp, I just bought grade 8 bolts, strongest ones they had at the hardware store, and some stainless lock washers. 1 year, 10k later, still holding strong. I haven't checked prices for ARP, but the bolts I used were like 1.50/piece, so it probably wasn't much cheaper than ARP, but I didn't want to wait to order the bolts.

Are the mids and the long tube flanges the same? Cause I just ordered long tube pacesetters a few days ago. Pretty sure I should go with the 1'' bolts but just wanna be sure.
