does anybody know if I can use the 86-89 wiring harness from painless performance on a 85 tpi with a 86-89 ecm?

It will not work well, if at all. The 85 TPI requires a 9th injector for cold start. The harness will not have this connector. So it will be a PITA to start if it even will. The best bet would be to swap the Intake base and fuel Rail for one in an 86 to 89. Delete the 9th injector and then you may have to swap the 85 injectors for 86-89 ones so they will operate properly with the ECM.(85 are bad anyways stick open and leak) The other way to go would be to swap computer harnesses and ECM to the old one if you can find one.Originally posted by riceeaterfordbeater
