  • Percy Header Gaskets

So I installed them and think they still leak, the ticking isnt as bad though. Did they have to be installed a certain way because the two sides of the gasket were slightly different. I even re tightened all of the bolts after the first heat cycle and I tightened the bolts from the center ones outward.

When I installed them I had the smooth bubble-like side facing the header and the side that had like trenches around each port to the heads.?

That is backwards. The smooth side goes to the head.

Yes, they are reuseable. that's the huge benefit is that they seal irregular surfaces and don't burn through.

Joe, what was the correct percy gasket part # for the LT1, because the gaskets came out but the port holes look like they were not big enough. I think I may have ordered the wrong gasket set.
