  • Question about throttle body

I have a 94 Z28 which I have already thrown on K&N cold air induction and Borla cat back exhaust. Will it be a big advantage to put on a 52mm throttle body and new mass air flow sensor? I am on a limited budget and was wondering if you all could tell me if the gain is worth the cost?
    Thanks

    Welcome to the forum.

    No, not a big advantage.
Once you have headers it may be worth getting a 52mm TB with the engine internally stock.

If you do headers and get your intake and heads ported, or go to a stroker motor you could do a 58mm TB.

Leave the mass airflow sensor alone. Dont even take the screen out of it. It is calibrated to work with your program in your PCM.

Your next mod should likely be either headers, subframe connectors, a shock tower brace, or some other suspension mod. 1LE swaybars are fairly affordable too.

Personally, I would recommend headers. I'm at the same spot you are... 94 Camaro with a K&N and Borla... Mine has ramiar, though. I've got a set of 1LE swaybars ready to install but my next big mod will be headers. I'm getting the car ready for a stroker motor some day down the road.

I have put on the sub frame connectors and sway bar. I would also like to put a 383 stroker in there down the road. Any recommendations on headers?
