  • Suggestions on buying used LS1 F-body?

I'd like to (in the near future) purchase another F-body vehicle with the latest 98+ body style and LS1 engine. I'm not completely new to the scene as I did own a brand new 2000 Trans Am back in the fall of '00, so I'm somewhat firmiliar with the cars. But that was 6 years ago and I was 19 and more into the car for the fun factor and didn't care much what may have gone wrong with it since it had a warranty.

Now 6 years later I'm entertaining thoughts of not spending more then $10k which means a whole lot more miles and potentially a whole lot more problems. I was just curious if anybody out there wanted to throw out some suggestions on things I might want to look for when inspecting or potentially purchasing Trans Am, Z28, or Formula?

    Thanks for any help guys.

    Obviously, window motors...

From a performance standpoint - pushrods can bend pretty easily if a shift is missed... I'd be wary of the condition they are in. They're an easy swap if new ones are needed, but it's always good to know if you're not getting the full power out of the motor.
Former Ride: 2002 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 - 345 rwhp, 360 rwtq... stock internally.

    Current Ride: 2006 Subaru Legacy GT Limited - spec.B #312 of 500
