  • Adjusting Firebird headlight assembly?

I'm starting to check out some minor problems on my 2k WU6 ... one of 'em is the right headlight, which is slightly misalligned and rubbing on the front corner of the hood. Previous owner already "readjusted" the light cover so that it's not totally destroying each other ...

I tried readjusting the headlight by losening the two rear screws, but that wouldn't do anything ... Hanes manual wasn't helpful, either ...

Where do I have to look to get the whole assembly losened to adjust its fit?

OK, got it fixed ... turns out it was just the piece that the cover is screwed onto that was out of alignment ... after some fiddeling, I got it as good as it will come ... still slightly larger gaps on that headlight to the fender than on the other side, but at least it's not rubbing anywhere anymore!

Neither are mine. Seems like when I adjust the headlight cover to line up with the hood and fender, it makes everything else out of whacked. I always wondered how the TA's in photo shoots look so perfect. All the panels and gaps are in line and perfect. Oh well, I just adjusted it enough where it was satisfactory. I honestly believe that the headlights are probably the poorest engineered region in our cars...
