    Automatic Transmission - 15.1 quarts
    Manual Transmission - 15.3 quarts

Pre-mix the coolant and water 50/50. This takes the guess work out of getting it 50/50 in the coolant system.

Not to hijack, but is there a drain plug on the block? If not how do you drain it?

there are two drain plus in a SBC or LT1. On a LT1 the knock sensor is in one of them, and the other has a plug in it. One on each side of the block.

To drain as much coolant as possible, the best way is to remove the drain plug on the driver's side of the block, and also loosen the petcock valve on the bottom of the radiator.
