I was going to ask a favor actually. Could you put injectors from your LS1 in the 3.8L (preferably one around 98 or 99 with the rectangle hookups) to see fit they'll work. I can find the injectors everywhere but dont wanna fork out the $ and find out they wont work. If so I would appreciate is SOOOOOOO MUCH!

I doubt that someone will actualy go through the trouble of switching out the injectors & possibly hurting their engine to answer your question. However, somone may know if they are the same part.
Or you can call a local autozone/advance/dealership and have them lookup the part number for an injector for both cars. If the part # is the same... You have a match!
It could still work even if the part numbers are different. I don't know for sure if it would, but for reference, here are the part numbers for both...
3800 V6 - #17120601
LS1 V8 - #12456154
Hope that helps somewhat.

If the harness fits and they fit in the holes, then they probably will work, but it may not run well. What are the 3.8s at, 19 lb/hr @ same pressure as LS1s? If that's the case, then the PCM will need to decrease the pulse widths many percent to get to target A/F ratio. I can guarantee the PCM cannot adjust that much without reprogramming it for the LS1 injectors. Your BLMs will be bottomed out at 108, and I don't even know if it will run. If it manages to run, it will run pig rich, probably with an SES light. I doubt anyone would really want to try this, but hopefully someone has your exact answer. Just my $0.02...

I don't need them to work without tuning I just need them to work period. I wasn't going to put them in until I'm at the place for the tune.
I wouldn't do it if I were you. What will initially happen is your car will run rich. Once in closed loop, and your PCM starts controlling your fuel trim based off of your upstream O2 readings, your readings will be nice and rich. The PCM will then start to shorten the pulse width of your injectors to try and compensate. Your short term fuel trim will start to go to negative percentages, and this will also change your long term fuel trim. With OBD-II, once that STFT goes about + or - 15 percent, your check engine light will come on. Even if you had your PCM properly tuned for these injectors, the amount of fuel going in to your cylinders would be the same as now, the injectors would just not be open as long as they are now. Unless you are throwing more air in to those cylinders, or just making more power in general, then there's no reason for new injectors.

I just threw a big ass cam in my car a few weeks ago so I'd say yeah there's a bit more air going in.

Well, the reason I posted my original post saying about the bottoming out BLMs was to imply that that's why nobody would want to actually try and start it...maybe just install them, if that's what you're asking. That's why my guess would be...if it fits in the hole and the harness clip, then it will probably work. Here's a thread on cz28: http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...=ls1+injectors That may or may not have your answer?

Ohhhhhh gotcha, just misinterpretted ya there. Afetr reading the first few posts on there i think i know why my hi flow cat is fried I think the lack of fuel in the mixture may have done it rather than in the thread how it talks about a rich mixture does it sometimes. But yeah, I just wanted them to check fitment. I would bring them to the place where im getting the car tuned before actually installing them to ensure safety. I'm gonna finish reading that thread now. Thanks
