SLP speedo
I have a 93 TransAm-with the SLP speedo adjustor. I got it because it was a lot cheaper than getting a new computer chip. Big mistake. It works OK until I stomp on the gas-then it gets really erratic! First time I noticed it-I was going about 90 mph and my speedometer showed about 50. As soon as I let off it slowly came back to normal.
My best advice: wait until you do some more modifications-such as the rear end gears. Then it will be worth it to spring for a new chip with all the right adjustments built in-including the correct speed adjustment.
Good luck-Scott

Scott, I hate to break it to you but there's no way to recalibrate the speedo on a 93 via the computer chip. I will admit that I just noticed that my speedo had done the same thing as yours, was reading 50 when I was doing 70, and once I stopped it had corrected. I'd believe that to be a signal interference issue, possibly a power or ground issue.Originally posted by Scott-93 TransAmI have a 93 TransAm-with the SLP speedo adjustor. I've got a cyberdyne box and Dakota Digital box both on the way that I'm going to try to work out also. My biggest issue with the SLP box right now is that my odometer doesn't seem to work hardly at all (50 mile trip to work showed 1.7 miles).
Lastly Scott, check out the link in my sig for the speed density F-Body cars. You may like the site as it's a 93 specific site.
