  • coolant ?? -->

    I have a '98 Z28. Before I put it away for winter I'm going to get a coolant flush done. I've noticed the dipstick in the resevoir is covered with some crusty stuff I've been told is dried Dex-cool. I've also heard that GM has stopped using Dex-cool, or isn't recomending it anymore?

    Has anyone had problems with it and should I change to something else?

    Thanks.

    I hate Dex Cool. In know its probably not the GM certified way to do things but I changed to the good old green stuff and have ended my dex cool problems. I cant see any reason why one would NEED to run dex cool, so I switched. It been like that for over two years. No problems.

    Change it up. That stuff sucks. 100,000 miles my A**!
