  • Shifting Problem

After having 3.73s installed, sometimes when the car shifts at full throttle (tach is right around redline) it feels like it's bumping the rev limiter (a noticable stumble). Is it possible that since the revs go up quicker with the new gears that the transmission doesn't react quick enough and hits the limiter? If so, should I move the shift point down 100 rpm (as opposed to moving the rev limiter up)? I have a stock valvetrain - just exhaust, y-pipe, cold air, 160 tstat and Hypertech programming. Thanks!

There are a few things you can try. Lowering the shift points, upping the rev limiter and playing around with the tire height. All three are a factor. I ended up lowering my shift points.
