  • Running too Rich! Need Help Please!!!!!

    Hi Guys!
    I have a 1997 Z28 with 93K miles on the clock!

It is running with both left and right long term fuel maxed out.

If I cap off the pipe that goes from the air filter to the air pump it will go down to 137 and 142. If I uncap it it goes back up!

I have changed both Air Check Valves with new AC DELCO valves.

It still does it. Now the air pump only runs 2 or 3 Mins when you first start the car up then stops. But air still gets sucked in after the airpump stops

Does the air pump have an air check valve also in it?

    Thanks Lee!

Yes it does. There is a magnetic solonoid in the air pump that opens it when the pump runs.

Has your car had the AIR pump recall done on it?
