  • BFGoodwrench G-Force KDW or G-Force Sport?

    Hey everyone,
I will be in the market for new tires very soon. I have decided to get away from the cheapy Kumhos that I have been running. I have it narrowed down to the BFG G-Force KDW's or the BFG G-Force Sports. The sports rank higher on tireracks website and they are cheaper(Big Plus)... But looking at the reviews... There seems to be mostly imports running them. Is there a reason for this? Which tire would be best suited for my RWD Summer driven Camaro?

I have KDWs now and while they stick like glue they are not round. I said I was going to get the Coopers next time but I'm thinking about going back to Firestone-Bridgestones with the UNI-T construction. They roll better.

As for the sport tire I think I read where they are the BFGs answer to the Firstone Fusion tire which is geared for a lighter car like a sport compact.

I just got them on my Talon (225/50/zr16) and they seem to be really nice so far. Very sure footed even when wet. I pushed them pretty hard and they barely even squeeled.

      I like 'em

I have the Fuzions on mine now, and I feel more response from them more then my Bridgestone Potenza's I had before. Now I have the G force KD summers now on new 18 inch rims. I will try them soon and let you know. If you only going to drive summers KD's would be the way to go.

I just thought I might add that last spring I put Cooper Zeons on my T/A, and they are awesome. I had Falkens on before (cheap performance!) and they were horrible. So after shopping around for a good handling tire at a reasonable price, the Coopers were it. They are super for stopping in the rain, and I don't slide around either anymore!

Oh, I know...I didn't mean on dry pavement! No, no, ...when it's raining I don't prefer to be sitting at a stoplight and go to take off and all I do is spin around. Same thing when trying to make a turn when the roads are wet. Have to slow down to grandma speed just so the rear don't swing out from under me. Sorry, I just had to clear that up!

After doing more research... I found the Cooper Zeon 2XS. They seem to be really good and they are very affordable. I did a search and found that even wolfman approves. I am leaning towards them now. But I LOVE the tread pattern on the KDW. They look so good on our cars.

You won't go wrong with the Coopers. Actually, the ones I have on are called Cooper Zeon ZPT. I actually found them in an ebay store, they sell them wholesale to the public. They are also located about 2 hours away from me, so we just went and picked them up. Cost me $319.75 for a brand new set of 4. Can't go wrong there!
