  • A.S.A.P. - In/Out Size of Catalytic Converter:

I just ordered a Magnaflow catback and Catalytic Converter. I ordered a 3" in and out for the Cat. Was that the right size to purchase? I'm sure I can call by tomorrow morning to change my order if someone replies and tells me otherwise. My headers are stock.

    1994 Trans Am GT

    Thanks...

The stock size of the exhaust is 2.75" I would keep the 3" though as it will allow you to hook it up directly to an aftermarket cat-back. Plus the adittional quarter inch will flow more. If it doesn't fit, it wont be nothing major that a muffler shop cant fix in 5 minutes.

They might have to flare the stock pipe a little, but most exhaust shops have pipe expanders so it's no big deal;.
